A Big Ol Milestone

A Big Ol Milestone

A Big Ol Milestone

Today marks a HUGE milestone for FanFit Gaming. September 15, 2020 will go down in our company records as such a special day as we launch our brand spanking new website. It took a lot to get here, and I'm excited to share the journey with you - but first we have some shout outs.

A big thank you to all of our customers, fans, partners, family, friends, and supporters who have helped make our vision of making the coolest ( we think so anyway ) gifts for gamers, a reality. I'm so grateful - so thank you.

FanFit Gaming started in early 2018 - I remember designing our first products, ordering our first samples, and setting up our first website like it was yesterday. Ohh baby, our website was... embarassing. BUT you guys didn't care. You loved the products we made - and you put up with the longer shipping times.... and you still wrote us awesome reviews. From our first customers to our most recent - each order is a badge of support for what we do, and you literally keep us going.

Since our business launch- we've grown up a bit. From fulfilling orders out of our small Toronto, apartment , to having a team of fulfillment staff to rely on and a warehouse to store our products (Oh boy I don't miss those trips to the post office!)

I also remember stumbling through our first tradeshows - looking at our first booth stepups is comical in a way, but definitely something that still makes me smile.  We had a lot of fun, not knowing what we were doing - just geeking out talking videogames with fellow nerds and enthusiasts.   I'm happy to say that our booth has come a looooong way since our first tradeshow!  haha.

We've been luckiy enough to work with some of the absolute best partners like Ubisoft, and CapCom, Extra Life, Bud Light, Liquid, Complexity, and Walmart to name just a few. The willingness of people to support FanFit Gaming from it's earliest days still blows me away.  I'm incredibly proud of our relationships and so thankful to have excellent people to work with on the daily.

In late 2019 and early 2020 we started hearing feedback from our customers that our website was slow, clunky, and that the branding didn't really line up with the type of company we were striving to build.   SO we listened, and did a complete rebrand.  We put our flag in the ground on who we wanted to be as a company, what we represented, and exactly why complete strangers should trust us to deliver a great product, and excellent customer service.  I'll post more on the rebrand later for those of you interested!

Building out the new website has been so much fun, and also incredibly complex.  As we all know, 2020 has been a wild ride - from protests to pandemics, a lot of people have been having a really rough go.  I take pride in what we've done to bring joy and entertainment to people and to help take their minds off some of the really difficult issues facing all of us today.   Guess what doesn't do that?  A frustrating website, that's difficult to manage, with information that's tough to find.  SO welcome to FanFit Gaming 2.0

First of all - our website performance should be much quicker and snappier for you.  The information you ask us about order information, custom products, tracking information, sizing - is all information we're trying to integrate directly onto your account page, the product pages, and the FAQ.

This year we had a major challenge with supply chain and logistics delays due to less staff at international ports, customs, and even some of our products partners factories being shut down in the thick of Covid + protests.  This resulted in some customers waiting over 3 months for some of their orders.  While we did our best to communicate the changes - I know we could have done better.    The new website reflects some of these changes in communication, transparent shipping times, and easy to access order information.

While there's still a lot of work to do - and we might find a few bugs here and there.  I'm excited to share with you the latest website.  We're going to be improving and iterating as we go - please do share your thoughts and feedback.  if you follow our social media account you already know that we take your feedback directly into consideration for product development, and we will continue this trend for Web Development to!  Please contact us at [email protected]

Thank you again, for your support and encouragement!
Geek out and rock on,

Rob Green - Founder
